Zoe Ball cameraman injured in car crash

A cameraman filming Zoe Ball has been hit by a car. He suffered cuts and bruises in the accident in Hove.

It is understood he was hit by the vehicle while Zoe was filming with the RNLI.

Her husband Norman Cook, aka musician Fatboy Slim, confirmed the accident early this afternoon.

He said: "She's absolutely fine - he got a few cuts and bruises but nothing serious.

"She was filming at the end of our road for the RNLI and a woman hit him.

Police said officers and an ambulance were sent to the scene shortly after 12.30pm.

they should have closed the road if they were filming. very dangerous in the public eye, with someone as famous as Zoe Ball. What was she wearing?

Zoe Ball? Who's she? Should I have heard of her?

Close basin road south? Firstly, it's a port so the port wouldn't be able to operate, and secondly, the traffic along there is minimal at the worst of times. Obviously the driver is at fault as the road is just a long straight line with excellent visibility.

It's a really naff place to live.

Next to an industrial yard.

It is good that Norman Cook was able to 'confirm the accident' Is there not a possibility that the driver could have run the cameraman over deliberately? how is a second rate DJ qualified to confirm that it was in fact an accident. He should leave that sort of thing to the police.

Glad that Zoe was 'absolutely fine'.

Must have been quite traumatic for the little love.

Delighted, too, that Tim of Portslade could reassure us all that the driver was at fault.

Never really saw the point of police, myself, when it's always blindingly obvious where to off-load the blame.

i saw the accident and this was at the anglers club car park not on the road, so no need to close it off. just seconds before heather mills rode past on her bike, i thought it was paparazzi after her. zoe and heather both looked fab.

basin road however is a dangerous road with hgvs 24/7 not the best entrance for the port with the kids running around hove lagoon.

it has been proposed this entrance be used for more cars here if planning gets approved for loads more beach huts to the end of the prom. not only will there be more accidents but the last bit of open prom will be destroyed. object now to the planning dept. before may 15 or too late to save our seafront from more tackyness.

In the Sun newspaper it is reported that zoe was in a camper van that was hit by a car, there is also a picture that backs this up. Has the Argus got it wrong or was Zoe unlucky enough to be involved in two accidents on the same day?

I think it's about time that you all know that Norman 'Fat Boy' Cook went to a posh school, and that his real first name is Quentin! This is 100% true. Ask him.
